Fortnite is currently one of the most popular and consistently successful games in general, and the last years of 2023 were particularly successful for the game, as it hosted several events and returned the original map, which helped it break its own record for peak online and online per day. It seems that the game is also performing well on consoles and outperforming its competitors.

Here's What We Know

According to a report published by Ampere Analysis, Fortnite recorded an impressive 1.6 billion hours of play time in December on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. This is 9% more than in November and an incredible 146% more than in October!

In fact, the time spent by console players in Fortnite exceeded that of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Online, Call of Duty HQ (including Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone), EA Sports FC 24 and Roblox combined.

Of course, the game owes much of its popularity to the increased demand for games during the festive season, although it is impossible not to mention the three exciting modes that also played a role: LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival.
