Xiaomi 12S Ultra - Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, E5 QHD+ display, Leica optics and custom Surge chips for $900

Xiaomi unveiled its flagship for 2022 - Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The new product will replace the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

What we know

The smartphone is equipped with a screen E5 with a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a resolution QHD+. The diagonal is 6.73". The display has a built-in fingerprint scanner. At the top there is a cutout with a 32 MP camera for selfies.

The main camera resolution is 50.3 MP + 48 MP + 48 MP. The main module got a Sony IMX989 1" optical sensor and Leica Camera optics. Video can be shot in 8K UHD at 24 FPS and in 4K UHD at 60 FPS. The manufacturer claims support for Dolby Vision HDR. The 48 MP modules are borrowed from the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra has a chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. The battery capacity is 4,860 mAh, wired charging power is 67 watts, wireless charging power is 50 watts, and reverse wireless charging power is 10 watts. Two custom processors Surge G1 and Surge P1 are used to optimize battery life. In addition, the smartphone got stereo sound, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and water protection IP68.
