At today's presentation, in addition to the Xiaomi 12T Pro with a 200-megapixel camera, Xiaomi introduced a simpler flagship to the international market - the Xiaomi 12T.

Here's What We've Seen

The base model looks like and many features similar to Xiaomi 12T Pro, but it already lacks that wow effect because of the 200 MP camera. And all because here there is a 108-megapixel sensor ISOCELL HM6, but with pixels of the same size 0.64 microns. Although it has a maximum binning of 9-in-1 for an effective pixel size of 1.92 µm. This sensor also has OIS and an f/1.7 aperture, though it lacks 8K video or more advanced features like autofocus with eye tracking. The 108 MP sensor is complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2 MP macro camera. The 20-megapixel selfie camera is located in a neat cutout in the screen.

Another change is the processor: instead of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, you get the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Ultra based on TSMC's 5-nanometer manufacturing process. In addition, you still get stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, but without the Harman Kardon "magic" like the Xiaomi 12T Pro.

The rest of the specs are identical to the Pro version: a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2712×1220 pixels, adaptive frequency to 120 Hz, HDR10+ and under-screen fingerprint scanner, two SIM cards, the ability to connect to 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6 (ax), Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC (depending on the country). The 5,000 mAh battery provides up to 13.5 hours of battery life with the screen always on and supports 120W HyperCharge fast charging technology. It only takes 19 minutes to fully charge the battery.

Price and when to expect

The Xiaomi 12T will go on sale on October 13. There are two variants to choose from with 8/128GB and 8/256GB of storage starting at €600.
