Xiaomi 13 Lite - Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, dual front camera, 120Hz display and Android 12 from €499

The Xiaomi 13 Lite debuted at MWC 2023 in Barcelona alongside the regular Xiaomi 13 and the Pro version. This is the global version of the Xiaomi CIVI 2 smartphone, which was announced in China on 27 September 2022.

Here's What We Know

The Xiaomi 13 Lite is one of the few smartphones with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The chip is made using 4nm technology, clocked at up to 2.4GHz and has an Adreno 644 graphics core. The 4,500mAh battery supports wired charging only. Its power output is 67W. According to the manufacturer, the battery charges fully in 40 minutes.

The front features an AMOLED display with Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. The diagonal is 6.55", the resolution is 2400 x 1080 pixels, the frame rate is 120Hz and the brightness is up to 1000 nits. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 glass.

The Xiaomi 13 Lite gets a 50 MP (f/1.8, 1/1.56", 1µm) + 20 MP (f/2.2, 115 degrees) + 2 MP (macro) main camera. The smartphone can shoot 4K video at 30 FPS and has no optical stabilisation. One of the main features is the front camera. It has a resolution of 32 MP (f/2, 1/2.8", 0.8 μm) + 32 MP (100 degrees) and autofocus.

The novelty is equipped with an IR port, NFC, USB-C, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and an in-display fingerprint scanner. There is no headphone jack, water protection and stereo speakers. The model runs on MIUI 14 but with Android 12.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The smartphone will be available in black, pink and blue body colours. The official manufacturer's recommended price for the Xiaomi 13 Lite starts at €499. The Xiaomi CIVI 2 was priced at €330-385 at launch in China.
