Google has decided to raise the cost of YouTube Premium subscription. So far, only US residents have to pay more, but it is not excluded that in other countries the prices will soon rise too.

Here's What We Know

A regular monthly subscription for one person now costs $13.99 instead of $11.99. If you want to save money, you can pay for a year at once. The annual subscription has increased by $20 and is now $139.99. A family subscription costs $22.99 per month and a student plan costs $7.99 per month.

Google raised the cost of YouTube Premium for the first time since the YouTube Music service was announced in 2018. It now separately costs $10.99 instead of $9.99 ($16.99 for families and $5.49 for students). The company said the new price reflects the features that YouTube Premium offers users.
