YouTube expands its video editing tool to users in more countries
YouTube has announced the availability of its video editing tool, YouTube Create, in 13 new countries. The app is now available in 21 countries. The app was launched in September last year.
Here's What We Know
YouTube Create is similar to CapCut, an app from ByteDance, the company that owns the popular TikTok platform. Both tools allow editing short and longer videos directly on Android mobile devices, as well as recording videos in the app.
With YouTube Create, users can edit videos, trim them, add effects and music, and use built-in tools such as Audio Cleanup to improve sound quality, voiceover with automatic subtitles, and text styling options.
Expanding the availability of YouTube Create to other countries could open up new opportunities for YouTube video creators and bring more attention to the Shorts feature, YouTube's TikTok-style version of video. YouTube is trying to simplify the video creation process and provide users with a convenient tool for creativity.
