ZTE unveiled an aerospace version of the Axon 40 Ultra powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with a next-generation sub-screen camera and up to 1TB of storage, for $825-1075

Chinese manufacturer ZTE announced a special version of the flagship smartphone Axon 40 Ultra. The novelty is called ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition.

Here's What We Know

The aerospace version of the smartphone has several differences from the original model, which appeared a few months ago. The key changes concern the design. This is the updated appearance of the main camera pad, which now does not so clearly protrude above the body, and a ceramic cover instead of glass.

The technical specifications left unchanged. The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition is also equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, three 64 MP cameras, including one with 35mm optics, a 5000 mA*h battery, stereo speakers and Wi-Fi 6E.

The smartphone will get a third-generation front camera built into the display. The screen itself has a diagonal of 6.8, Full HD + resolution and refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is based on an AMOLED panel.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Sales of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition in China will start on December 6. The novelty is distinguished by an expanded package. The smartphone will appear on store shelves in a large stylized box and with two branded cases.

The base version will offer users 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage for $825. A top-of-the-line variant with 18GB of RAM and 1TB of storage will also go on sale. It will cost $1075.
