YouTube introduces new features

YouTube announces several innovations for online broadcasts.

What will be new

First, YouTube is going to make it easier to view streams, adding automatic subtitles to them. If since 2009 they have only been recorded videos, but now they will be available in live broadcasts. In the official blog, YouTube declares: "With our new technology of automatic speech recognition (LASR) you will receive subtitles, the number of errors and delay which are close to industry standards. We will launch this feature in the coming weeks, and then we will improve its accuracy and speed. " In addition, you can soon change the language of subtitles.

The second function is to save and play the chats that accompany the broadcast. So you can understand what message the blogger is responding to, and what the users were talking about. "The chat will be located next to the video - in the same way as it happens during video broadcasting," the message says.

The third thing mentioned in the notice is geotagging. The author will be able to specify the location of the broadcast, and subscribers will know where he is. Clicking on the tag will show other videos from in this area. Also, you can filter the search by geolocation to see what is written nearby.

And, finally, YouTube says that channel owners can now tie an option for IFTTT "Super-Chat" (which allows viewers to pay to have their comments become more visible and fixed for 5 hours).
