The Swiss company Proton Technologies AG, which has decided to continue providing its services in Russia, has offered Russian users to pay for the ProtonVPN service in cash in envelopes.

What is known

The official ProtonVPN website has a list of payment methods. The last point was of the greatest interest - cash. Due to sanctions in Russia, the usual payment methods have stopped working: VISA, MasterCard, PayPal and SWIFT. That's why Proton Technologies AG offers to send money directly by mail to Switzerland. Only euros, US dollars and Swiss francs are accepted.

We will remind, at the request of the Ukrainian cyberpolice VPN-service blocked access to propaganda sites. However, the company refused to leave the Russian market, arguing its decision to protect freedom on the Internet.
