Bayraktar Akinci has been in the air for more than 20 hours and set a new flight altitude record

Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle Bayraktar Akinci set a new altitude record.

What is known

The assault drone is equipped with two 750 hp engines. As part of the next test, the drone was able to climb to a height of 13,716 m (45,118 feet) in the presence of experts from the defense industry and the command of the Turkish Air Force.

The entire flight took 20 hours and 23 minutes. Then Bayraktar Akinci successfully returned to the flight training center of Corlu airport.

Note that the previous altitude record was set on March 11, 2022. The drone reached the 12,243 m (40,170 ft) mark. In addition, last year Bayraktar Akinci, was able to climb to a height of 11,594 m (38,039 ft). Then it was equipped with two 450 hp engines.
