Ukraine assembles "Drone Army" - anyone can help
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine together with the platform United24 announced the launch of the "Drone Army" project.
What is known
The program involves the systematic purchase, repair and replacement of drones, as well as a training course for operators. The first goal is to buy 200 reconnaissance-level drones with up to 24 hours of autonomy and to assemble thousands of simpler UAVs.
Anyone can transfer funds or send their own drone. If you are outside of Ukraine and want to donate your drone, it must be sent to the Help Ukraine Center hub in Poland or the USA. Residents of Ukraine can send the drone by "Novaya Pochta". At the branch you need to say that the delivery is for the AFU to the "Drone Army". After that the operator will arrange the parcel himself.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation and United24 ask to send drones with the following technical characteristics:
- battery capacity - from 5000 mA*h;
- flight range - from 1 km;
- camera resolution - from 20 MP;
- photo resolution - from 5280 x 3956 points;
- video resolution - from 3840 x 2160 points;
- autonomy - from 30 minutes;
- remote control (preferred).
