A Russian POW told how 500 soldiers destroyed a drone, which ended up being Russian
After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, videos of interrogations of Russian captives began to appear regularly. Five months later, the number of videos has decreased significantly, but sometimes there are interesting moments.
What we know
Volodymyr Zolkin is a Ukrainian activist, who became famous for many people after he began "interviewing" captive soldiers of the Russian army. In one of the videos, the fighter talked about how the Russians shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle.
The prisoner of war said that he only fired his machine gun three times during the entire time: twice to check if the cannon was working properly, and once more to shoot down the drone. According to the soldier, when he heard the "air" command, 500 soldiers started shooting at the drone. Using all their ammunition, they still managed to shoot down the drone. However, it turned out to be a Russian drone.
You can watch the full video below. There are many interesting things there. For example, how it was necessary to simulate shooting due to lack of ammunition.
