The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive their first LAV II ACSV armored support vehicles by the end of this month.
What we know
Following the NATO summit in Madrid at the end of June, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau informed about the transfer of 39 LAV II ACSV armored vehicles to Ukraine. Anita Anand, Canada's Defense Minister, said the vehicles will be shipped to our country this month.
The vehicles are ready for delivery. Now the government is concluding negotiations and will begin the shipment. Note that Ukraine will not receive all LAV II ACSVs at once. According to Anand, deliveries may be delayed over the summer.
Recall that the LAV II ACSV is a light armored vehicle with a range of 650 km and a maximum speed of 100 km/h. They are equipped with 7.62 mm machine guns. Along with the armored vehicles, Canada will send spare parts for them and cameras for drones to Ukraine
