The AFU could destroy the newest Belarus kamikaze drone Chekan for the first time

The Armed Forces of Ukraine could have shot down a disposable Belarusian Chekan drone for the first time.

Photos of the remnants of the drone appeared in the network. The model is difficult to recognize, but it is reportedly the Chekan bomber munition, which was unveiled about a year ago.

The Chekan is a single-use tactical drone that takes off with a launcher. It is used to defeat lightly armored vehicles, manpower, artillery and shelters. It has a range of 25 km from the launch point.

The kamikaze drone can carry high-explosive or shaped charge ammunition. The maximum takeoff weight of the drone is 12 kg, and the weight of the warhead is about 2 kg. The drone has a cruising speed of 90 km/h. In guidance mode Chekan can rise to an altitude of up to 200 m. Also, the UAV is used for aerial reconnaissance from heights up to 350 m.
