French Foreign Minister: A new batch of CAESARs is on its way to Ukraine

Ukraine will soon receive a new batch of French self-propelled artillery systems CAESAR.

What is known

This was reported by the European Truth referring to the interview of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France Catherine Colonna (Catherine Colonna) to the publication 20minutes. We are talking about 6 units, the deliveries of which were previously announced  by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron. 

"At the national level, France is fully engaged in helping Ukraine, even if we emphasize less than others what we are doing. We decided not to report all of our military contribution and to leave this information for our partners," said the foreign minister.

To recall, CAESAR is a French 155 mm SAU, designed to destroy manpower, artillery batteries, bunkers and to provide passages in minefields and field barriers. Maximum firing range of the SAU is 42 km, although a projectile with a range of up to 70 km has recently been presented for installation. The CAESAR SAU is capable of firing six rounds per minute. It is operated by a crew of 4-5 people. There are currently 18 such units in Ukraine.
