What is known
A rare video of the American kamikaze drone Switchblade 300 has appeared online. It was used by the Ukrainian military to attack a customs point located on Russian territory. Interestingly, the attack was filmed by another Ukrainian drone. The air defense system must have gone to Kherson to intercept the missiles HIMARS.
Note that this is only the second video of combat use Switchblade. Previously we saw slices of successful missions of the barraging munition. In addition, the first and only video showing a drone launch was published in the spring .
Switchblade 300 is a popular kamikaze drone by AeroVironment. The hovering munition weighs less than 3 kg and can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h and stay in the air for 10 minutes. The drone is designed to engage ground targets, but due to the company's software SRC Inc. it is capable of intercepting enemy drones. Price is $6000.
