Poland will receive five divisions of Patriot surface-to-air missile systems with the IBCS combat control system
Northrop Grumman has announced that it is preparing an IBCS combat command system for the Patriot SAM for Poland.
What we know
IBCS or Integrated Battle Command System is a combat control system with a modular and scalable architecture that is responsible for ensuring effective integration of reconnaissance and combat systems (both current and future).
The IBCS will be delivered under the Wisla program. The project involves the purchase of medium-range air and missile defense systems. At the first stage Poland will get two divisions of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.
As part of the second phase of the Wisla program, Poland will buy five more Patriot divisions. Thus, in total, Poland will receive 10 batteries of air defense missile systems by 2028.
