Baykar Technologies has promised to give Ukrainian Armed Forces another Bayraktar TB2 attack drone for free.
What we know
This is already the fifth drone donated by the Turkish company to Ukraine. This time the funds for it were raised in Poland. The stated amount of 22,500,000 zlotys ($4,900,000) was raised four days before the campaign ended. During the remaining time, users donated another 1,800,000 PLN ($383,000).
The fundraiser was organized by Sławomir Sierakowski. Baykar Technologies representatives contacted him and said that they would give Bayraktar TB2 for free. 22,5000,000 zlotys will go for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. 1,800,000 zlotys, which were collected in excess of the declared amount, will be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Recall that earlier Baykar Technologies announced that it would transfer four UAVs to Ukraine free of charge. One of them has already arrived in our country. Funds for it were collected by residents of Lithuania. Three more drones are expected within a few weeks. Ukrainians raised $20,000,000 for them in three days.
