The Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully use American M430A1 grenades, but as aerial bombs.
What we know
The Ukrainian military converted 40-mm grenades into aerial bombs for the Chinese drone DJI Mavic 3 cost $2200 (the cheapest version). The upgraded ammunition drops freely from the quadcopter and is designed to destroy the engines of enemy armored vehicles.
As for the M430A1, this is a 40 x 53mm American unitary grenade launcher round developed in the 1960s. It was adopted as the NATO standard ammunition for automatic grenade launchers.
