AFU showed a spectacular video of an attack on Russian military using a kamikaze FPV-drone: UAV flew right into the house
Ukrainian military turned an FPV drone into a kamikaze drone and used it to attack Russian soldiers' positions.
What we know
We have already seen several times the work of American barrage munitions Switchblade 300 and Polish Warmate in action. Now it's time to look at the FPV drone that performed the role of a kamikaze drone. There is some profanity in the video.
Note that drones that provide a first-person view are inexpensive. For one drone you need to spend from $200 to $500 on average, depending on components. But the catch is the lack of components. If you order parts from China, shipping takes several weeks.
Large companies rarely produce FPV drones. For example, the market leader, DJI, has only one such model. The Chinese manufacturer introduced the quadcopter DJI FPV in 2021. It supports 4K UHD with a frame rate of 60 FPS, has a camera with a viewing angle of 150 degrees and can broadcast images in HD to 10 km. However, such a quadcopter costs $999.
