Der Spiegel: German Gepard anti-aircraft tanks for the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not recognize the Norwegian shells developed for them

Problems with howitzers Panzerhaubitze 2000, about which we wrote in a previous article, were not the only problem with German armament.

What is known

The same publication Der Spiegel reports, that the anti-aircraft tanks Gepard, five of which Ukraine recently received, are having difficulty recognizing Norwegian-made shells.

In the test firing that took place in Germany, it turned out that the Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft firing system is not capable of recognizing the ammunition supplied to Ukraine from Norway. Thus, the shells need to be upgraded in the near future, and new firing tests will take place in August.

Again, this is reported exclusively by Der Spiegel. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Armed Forces have not yet commented on the information.
