Baykar Technologies has exported 96 Bayraktar strike drones, with Ukraine as the main buyer

The Turkish company Baykar Technologies has exported nearly 100 Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles.

The manufacturer was able to ramp up deliveries of Bayraktar TB2 attack drones in 2022 after a pandemic-related decline. Ukraine is now the main buyer of drones. In May 2022, our country received 12 drones, after which it ordered two dozen more combat drones. Moreover, Ukraine bought drones even before February 24, 2022.

Baykar Technologies exported a total of 96 Bayraktar TB2 drones. The first customer from the European Union was Poland. It ordered 22 UAVs. Deliveries will begin in 2022. Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia and Uruguay are potential buyers of the drones.

Central Asia has become another potential market for Baykar Technologies. Kyrgyzstan is the first state in the region to purchase Bayraktar TB2. But the number is not mentioned. By the way, Kyrgyzstan has already managed to express dissatisfaction with the fact that the Turkish manufacturer supplied drones to Tajikistan.

The Bayraktar TB2 strike drones have been the main reason for the growth of Turkish military exports in recent years. In addition, over two decades, weapons sales to other countries have increased in terms of money from $248 million to $3.2 billion (+48% compared to 2020).
