The Army of Drones project purchased 78 DJI Matrice 300 RTK drones for Ukrainian reconnaissance. More than a third of the quadcopters have already arrived in Ukraine and are waiting to be sent to the front.

The head of the State Service of Special Communication and Protection Yuriy Shchygol said this in a conversation with the UKRINFORM correspondent. According to the head of the department, they plan to purchase 200 drones for reconnaissance within the framework of the "Army of Drones" project.
30 quadcopters DJI Matrice 300 RTK are now in Ukraine and waiting to be sent to the front. Another 48 industrial drones will be delivered next week, after which they will also go to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DJI Matrice 300 RTK can climb to a height of 7 km, and the independent operation time is 55 minutes. Chinese quadcopter is equipped with AI-enabled camera, thermal imager, can carry a payload of up to 2.7 and can reach speeds of up to 83 km/h. The body has IP54 water protection.
The DJI Matrice 300 RTK costs ₴720,000 ($19,400), which means 78 quadcopters cost ₴56,160,000 ($1,500,000). Whether the drones will be re-flashed to prevent DJI Aeroscope from locating the operator, the head of the State Special Communications Service did not specify.
