Here's What We Know
This was reported by the CNN Türk news agency, citing a source in the Turkish Defense Ministry. F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters of the Turkish Air Force came under attack from Greece during a reconnaissance mission in the Aegean Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean.
CNN Türk's interlocutor notes that the Russian S-300 surface-to-air missile system, located on the island of Crete, detected a surface-to-air missile on an F-16 Fighting Falcon flying 3 km from Rhodes Island. Despite this, the aircraft completed the task and successfully returned to the airbase.
