North Korea starts selling millions of munitions to Russia
North Korea began supplying munitions to the Russian army. This was reported by the New York Times, citing U.S. intelligence.
Here's What We Know
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, Russia spends about 50,000 munitions every day. The agreement with North Korea means two things. First, Russia cannot produce enough ammunition on its own. Second, the very fact that it is turning to the DPRK shows the effectiveness of sanctions.
U.S. intelligence reports that Russia made contact with North Korea almost immediately after it received Iranian drones. By the way, some of the drones that Russia bought from Iran were damaged.
On the other hand, China has so far refused to openly help the Russian federation and is trying to stick to sanctions. If processor giants like SMIC (Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation) start supplying chips to Russia, the US is ready to close access of Chinese companies to its technology.
