Nexter delivers first batch of CAESAR self-propelled howitzers to the Moroccan army under a €200 million contract

The French company Nexter has started deliveries of CAESAR self-propelled artillery units for the Royal Moroccan Army.

Morocco is buying 36 howitzers on wheeled chassis under a €200 million contract, one of the steps to modernize the country's armed forces. The agreement between the Moroccan Ministry of Defense and the French manufacturer was signed in 2020.

CAESAR is a French self-propelled artillery unit on wheeled chassis, which is used to destroy artillery and enemy manpower. The 155 mm howitzer with a barrel length of 52 caliber can eliminate the enemy at a range of up to 42 km.
