United Arab Emirates will buy 120 Bayraktar TB2 drones and MAM-L ammunition for $2 billion
The United Arab Emirates is determined to get the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 strike drones. Discussions about the purchase of the drones began back in March 2022, and now everything is moving toward a deal.
Here's What We Know
The Bayraktar TB2 has demonstrated its effectiveness in Libya, Syria and Karabakh. Baykar is supplying drones to more than 20 countries and is in talks to sign export contracts with 10 more nations.
The United Arab Emirates is ready to invest $2 billion in Turkish-made attack drones, including 120 drones and ROKETSAN's high-precision laser guided MAM-L glide bombs.
Deliveries of the Bayraktar TB2 could take several years. According to the head of Baykar, the company can only produce 20 drones per month. However, the manufacturer already has many orders for which deliveries are scheduled for three years in advance.
