NVIDIA changed its mind about releasing GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB graphics card
The American company NVIDIA has officially "unannounced" graphics card GeForce RTX 4080 with 12 GB of VRAM.
Here's What We Know
The "green" manufacturer's website states that the GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB is a fantastic graphics card, but is misnamed. Having two models with the designation RTX 4080 may be confusing to buyers.
It is possible that in the future this graphics card will go on sale as a GeForce RTX 4070. And that would make sense, since the GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB is inferior to the 16 GB memory version by up to 30% in terms of performance. But we have to wait for the official information on this.
Flashback
NVIDIA introduced two versions of the GeForce RTX 4080 based on the Ada Lovelace architecture in September. Both models are equipped with GDDR6X video memory with an effective frequency of 22.5 GHz. The company announced that the higher performance model will go on sale on November 16 for $1199.
