Microsoft is confident that Marvel's Wolverine, the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive from Insomniac Games, will be released in 2023
Microsoft is confident that Wolverine, which will be exclusive to PlayStation 5, will be released in 2023. This was stated in a document for the British competition regulator (CMA).
Here's What We Know
The statement reads as follows:
"PlayStation also has a spate of first- and third-party exclusive titles lined up for launch in 2023, including Spider-Man 2, Wolverine, Horizon, Final Fantasy XVI and Forspoken".
All of these statements and reports are being made for the CMA because it is this regulator that is considering Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, creators of the Call of Duty, Overwatch and World of Warcraft franchises, for an industry record $68.7 billion. Sony is not too happy about this deal, so competitors are constantly putting spokes in each other's wheels. Some in order to stop the deal, and others on the contrary - to speed it up. We can only watch this series.
Flashback
Marvel's Wolverine was announced in 2021 at the PlayStation Showcase. Then we were shown only a short cinematic trailer without any details. We know nothing about the gameplay, plot, or release date. Therefore, such statements may shed some light on this mysterious project. The game is being developed by Insomniac Games, the creators of Marvel's Spider-Man.
