In the second week since the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones, more and more new information about the next-generation flagship is emerging. We've already written about Android 13 and One UI 5.1 taking up 60GB in some regions. Now another feature of the new products has been revealed.

Here's What We Know

The Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is powerful enough for any gaming. During long gaming sessions, the battery will drain quickly, so the smartphones need to be constantly charged. South Korean developers have taken care to minimise the negative impact on the battery.

The flagships have received the Samsung Game Booster utility, which has a Pause USB Power Delivery setting. Activating this option allows you to power your smartphone directly from a power outlet, bypassing the battery. This will not only reduce the rate of battery degradation, but also reduce the heat of the processor.

The Pause USB Power Delivery feature is so far only available on Samsung Galaxy S23 models, but in general this approach is not new. It has been seen in the last two generations of ASUS ROG Phone gaming smartphones and Xiaomi's Black Shark-branded gaming models.
