Photo Sharp Aquos S3: Frameless display and familiar design

Smartphone Sharp Aquos S3 has already registered in the database of the Taiwanese regulator, and here on the expanses of the Chinese social network Weibo showed up quality photos of the gadget.

If the Sharp Aquos S2 was a bit like the Essential Phone, then when creating the new model the manufacturer was clearly inspired by the design of the iPhone X. Even the cutout form in the display subtly resembles a hot new Apple, and the glass back panel and the vertical dual camera module only strengthen this similarity. But what about the slogan "be original"?

Sharp promised to surprise the public with the most frameless smartphone , but from the Japanese we expected more. Though to be surprised - for some time now the mobile (and not only) business of the company runs Foxconn.

As for features, Sharp Aquos S3 will receive a 6-inch IPS-display with a resolution of 2040x1080 pixels, a Snapdragon 660 processor, 4/6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal memory. The main camera consists of 12 and 13 megapixel modules. The front camera is 16-megapixel, and it is not yet known whether the face recognition function will be supported. In any case, there is a fingerprint scanner on the back panel. The battery capacity is 3100 mAh.

When the announcement?

Initially, the rumors reported on the debut on January 16, but from that date it was almost a month, and Sharp did not even start to teaser the novelty. What made the company postpone the announcement is unknown. Given the upcoming Chinese New Year (February 16), the presentation of the Sharp Aquos S3 will take place no earlier than March.
