Bose Revealed Augmented Reality Platform Bose AR
A well-known audio manufacturer Bose at the event SXSW (South by Southwest) presented a platform of augmented reality.
What is known
To demonstrate the platform, the company showed a prototype of "smart" glasses with Bose AR technology. Strangely enough, the product is not aimed at visual effects, as in the case of Google Glass or Intel Vaunt , but on audio (audio AR). The glasses do not have cameras or sensors, all the necessary information will come from the smartphone. For the interaction with the device came up with gestures and voice commands, and to ensure high quality sound set a special radiator. Due to the small size of the components, the technology can be integrated into speakers, headphones or even headgear.
When to expect
Bose will launch a SDK for developers this summer. The manufacturer also created a special fund of $ 50 million to invest in companies that will create new devices with Bose AR.
