Leopard 2A4 tanks, missiles for Patriot and other weapons: Spain will transfer 1bn euros worth of military aid to Ukraine by the end of the year

Following Germany and the USA, Spain has announced a new military aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The information was shared by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine. We are talking about armament for 1 billion euros. The Office of the President does not say what exactly is included in the package, but according to El Pais, it is about Leopard 2A4 tanks, missiles for Patriot SAMs and a large number of additional systems that will be purchased from the Spanish defence industry. Deliveries of weapons will take place until the end of 2024.

By the way, Spain has also signed a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine, which provides for 10 years of support. In addition, Spain will provide the AFU with aid in the amount of 5 billion euros through the European Peace Foundation until 2027.
