Xiaomi has unveiled the MIX Fold 4 with a slim body, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, IPX8 protection and a periscope camera for $1237

Xiaomi, after almost a year of rumours and leaks, has revealed its new MIX Fold 4 foldable smartphone.

Here's What We Know

The smartphone weighs 226 grams and boasts a body with a thickness of 4.59 mm in the unfolded state and 9.47 mm - in the folded state. The novelty was equipped with a hinge, which is made of high-strength carbon fibre T800H. It is lightweight and increases the impact resistance of the device by 300% compared to the MIX Fold 3. The novelty has also received IPX8 certification. That is, the gadget is not afraid of immersion under water up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes.

The smartphone features an external 6.56-inch LTPO OLED display with FHD+ resolution, 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 21:9 aspect ratio. The main panel has a 7.98-inch diagonal with Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), FHD+ resolution, brightness up to 3000 nits and the same adaptive refresh rate. The gadget runs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, and is powered by a 5,100mAh battery. The new product supports 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 comes with five cameras: a triple main camera at 50 MP + 12 MP + 10 MP (Periscope) and two front sensors at 20 MP each. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Out of the box, the device runs HyperOS based on Android 14.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 can already be ordered in China. The novelty costs from $1237. The gadget competes with Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 and Honor Magic 6.

By the way, besides Xiaomi MIX Fold 4, the Chinese manufacturer still showed other novelties: Xiaomi Buds 5, Xiaomi Smart Band 9 and Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport and Redmi K70 Ultra.
