Improved protection and security: Galaxy Flip 3 gets January 2025 update
Samsung has released a new software update for its 2021 Galaxy Flip 3 foldable smartphone, which includes a security patch for January 2025.

This update fixes several important issues, improving the security of the device.
The update is available for the international version of the Galaxy Flip 3, as well as for the US versions with locked and unlocked SIM cards (models SM-F711B, SM-F711U, SM-F711U1). The new software version changes the firmware numbers to F711BXXSBIXLA, F711USQSAJXLA and F711U1UESAJXLA.
If you have a Galaxy Flip 3, Samsung will send you a notification about the new update. You can click on it and select "Download and install" to get the update. If you don't see the notification, go to Settings, Software Update, Download & Install.
Samsung recently introduced the Galaxy S25 series, which runs on Android 15 with One UI 7.0. The new software will be released for compatible devices, including the Galaxy Flip 3, in the coming weeks.
The Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra will be supported with One UI or Android operating system updates and security patches for seven years.
New One UI 7 firmware for Galaxy S24 smartphones has been uploaded to Samsung's server. On 23 January, a well-known informant @tarunvats33 reported that a new One UI 7 build for last year's Galaxy S24 series models was uploaded to Samsung's official server. The build has been updated from version "BYA4" to "BYA6" and has the version number "S928NKSU4BYA6/ S928NOKR4BYA6/ S928NKSU4BYA6".
