Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphones will receive updates until 2032

Samsung has officially presented a new series of Galaxy S25 smartphones, which will receive updates over 7 years.
Here's What We Know
This means that the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models will be supported by One UI or Android operating system updates and security patches for seven years.
This is not a new move for Samsung, as the company promised the same support for the Galaxy S24 last year. The 7-year support means that users can expect regular updates until 2032, which is a significant improvement over previous support periods.
The support, which includes 7 generations of OS and security updates, is part of a new standard that has emerged among leading smartphone manufacturers such as Google, which also offers similar support for its devices, including the Pixel 9. Nowadays, 7 years of updates have become a common expectation for users, although a few years ago, most manufacturers promised support for only 4 years.
This improvement in support duration is a result of the growing competition in the smartphone market and the commitment of companies like Samsung to offer more durable and relevant devices to their users. This not only extends the lifespan of smartphones, but also increases their value in the long run by ensuring that users have the stability and relevance of their devices for a longer period of time.
