"We give you money - you make games": more than 60 indie studios have responded to Pocketpair Publishing's partnership offer
Last week Pocketpair, which a year ago became world famous thanks to the successful Palworld game, announced the opening of its own publishing division and readiness to support independent developers.
The first client of Pocketpair Publishing is Surgent Studios, founded by the famous film and voice actor Abubakar Salim, whose debut game was a platformer Tales of Kenzera: ZAU.
Here's What We Know
It appears that many studios would like the support of Pocketpair Publishing. Pocketpair's Director of Communications, John Buckley *Bucky*, said that immediately after the announcement of the founding of the publishing division and the invitation to collaborate, he received 68 emails from indie developers and 1,577 LinkedIn invitations, all of which were of a business nature.
My inboxes were empty before this. I guess I underestimated how much interest there would be.
Bucky emphasised that Pocketpair will provide indie developers with the necessary financial and marketing resources while not restricting their creative freedom or interfering with their workflow.
Note that Pocketpair is not going to end its support of Palworld and will continue to develop its own games.
