Following the success of Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian, Hasbro, the owner of the franchise rights, is preparing to announce future projects in the series. Dan Ayoub, senior vice president of digital games at Hasbro, said at GDC 2025 that news about the continuation of the Baldur's Gate series will be presented in the near future.

Here's What We Know

Ayoub emphasised that although Larian Studios decided to focus on other projects, Hasbro has received significant interest from various developers to continue the series. He said: "We're working on our plans for the future and will be able to share some news on that soon."

Although no specific details have been disclosed, Ayoub expressed his desire to see a Baldur's Gate 4 in the future, but stressed that the development of such a game takes time. He noted that the company is approaching this issue carefully and prudently, striving to ensure the high quality of future projects.

We would like to remind you that the CEO of Larian Studios believes that story-based games are not dead, they just need to be of high quality.
