Google has updated its Gemini app for iOS and added support for a full-fledged interface on the iPad. Previously, the app was available on iPhone and iPad, but it was displayed in the same format on iPad as on iPhone. Now the interface is adapted to the larger iPad screen, which makes it easier to use the app.

Here's What We Know

The Gemini iPad update includes a number of new features, including:

  • A full-screen iPad experience with an optimised interface.
  • Ability to add a Gemini widget to the home screen.
  • Integration with Google Photos, which allows you to quickly access photos and videos.

In addition, the app has received general interface improvements and bug fixes. Gemini allows users to interact with artificial intelligence that connects to Google apps such as Search, YouTube, Gmail, and Google Maps. It also offers features for image creation, learning, and brainstorming.

Gemini is available for free, but for advanced features, there is a Gemini Advanced version that requires a $19.99 per month subscription to Google One AI Premium. This price is competitive with similar plans from Anthropic and OpenAI.

It is worth reminding that Apple is negotiating with Google to implement the Gemini AI model in its devices. This decision is related to the difficulties that Apple is experiencing in developing its own AI tools, such as the updated Siri and Apple Intelligence.
