Oppo and OnePlus may present flagships with 200MP cameras in October
According to new leaks, the OnePlus 14 and Oppo Find X9 series of smartphones, which are due to debut in China in October this year, will be equipped with 200-megapixel cameras. This news became known thanks to the popular Smart insider Pikachu, who shared details about the upcoming flagships.
Here's What We Know
After brands such as Vivo, Xiaomi, and Honor introduced models with 200MP cameras last year, Oppo will now join the bandwagon. Instead of a dual 50-megapixel camera, as in the previous Find X8 Pro/Ultra models, the new Find X9 Pro will have a single camera with a 200MP periscope.
It is known that not only Oppo, but also OnePlus 14 is likely to be one of the first smartphones to receive such a powerful camera. This means that even the standard flagship models of both brands will have access to advanced camera features that were previously only available for ultra-version models.
The OnePlus 14 (tentatively titled) is also expected to feature a flat display, a large battery, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.
The Oppo Find X9 is likely to feature the Dimensity 9500 chipset and retain the slim design that has already become the brand's hallmark.
As for the Find X9 Ultra model, it will have two cameras with a periscope: 200 MP and 50 MP with 10x optical zoom, as confirmed by a new leak from Digital Chat Station.
These models are expected to be officially unveiled in October 2025.
As a reminder, the OnePlus 13T outperformed the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxy S25 Ultra in a battery endurance test.
