Samsung bets on thin gadgets: the Galaxy S26 Edge could be the flagship of the next line-up instead of the S26+
A few days ago, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge ultra-thin flagship smartphone. Of course, the Korean giant is actively working on the next models and insiders reported an interesting detail related to the S26 lineup.
Here's What We Know
The Elec portal, citing its sources in Samsung, reported that the company may release the Galaxy S26 Edge in the future, replacing the Galaxy S26+ in the flagship lineup.
It is reported that the manufacturer plans to emphasise on slim gadgets, but will not give up technical improvements. Thus, the Galaxy S26 Edge will get a 6.7″ screen, which is expected in the S26+, but will be thinner and get a 200MP camera, as in the Ultra models.
It is emphasised that Samsung's plans will depend entirely on the sales of the S25 Edge, the main drawback of which is a low-capacity battery (4000 mAh). However, journalists are confident that Samsung will try to improve the model with the help of the most modern technologies.
