Insider: 'very soon' a big Star Wars franchise game announcement is coming
Games in the Star Wars universe are released quite often, usually warmly received by gamers, and soon they may get another major novelty.
What is known
The authoritative Polish dataminer and insider Kurakasis reported that 'a big announcement related to a game in the Star Wars universe will be made very soon.' He emphasized that this presentation will not be related to the tactical game Star Wars: Zero Company from Bit Reactor or the ambitious action game Star Wars Eclipse from the creators of Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain from the French studio Quantic Dream.
From the projects of the franchise already known, the following games can be recalled:
- half-alive Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake by the Russian-origin company Saber Interactive;
- project by Skydance New Media and Uncharted and Legacy of Kain Amy Hennig;
- new installment of Star Wars Jedi by Respawn Entertainment;
- unannounced strategy by the British studio Creative Assembly.
Perhaps Kurakasis is aware of a completely new project, but specifically today—December 4 at 17-00 (CET)—Creative Assembly will hold an anniversary presentation in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Total War series, which included several games in Star Wars, and there is a possibility that this very announcement will be made there.
P.S. At the end of 2023, an insider under the nickname eXtas1s in his podcast reported that the creators of the legendary shooters DOOM and Quake from the studio id Software are working on a new project under the Star Wars brand. He hinted that the main character of the game could be the popular Mandalorian. But since then, no insider has mentioned such a project—what if this is what he was talking about?
