Ubisoft's Surprise Delay: Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remake Coming July 9 with New Stories and RPG Elements
Several insiders promised that on April 16, Ubisoft would present the long-awaited remake of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, which would have the subtitle Resynced. That day has passed, but gamers have yet to receive either a trailer or a release date for the updated game
Tom Henderson shed light on the situation and confirmed that the French company indeed planned to announce the game on April 16 and even provided journalists and bloggers the opportunity to see a 30-minute gameplay showcase. But at the last moment, the presentation was postponed and is now scheduled for next week.
Henderson did not reveal what he saw in the video but reported that the release of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced will take place on July 9.
As is known, the remake will feature new stories and characters, and the main storyline of Black Flag will be expanded and complemented, while the episodes in the Abstergo corporation offices will be completely removed.
The remake is being created on the latest version of the Anvil engine, which was used in the development of Assassin's Creed Shadows, and the gameplay will feature more RPG elements, particularly players will be able to pick up equipment items that will differ in their characteristics. The significance of weather effects will also increase.
The remake of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. As for Nintendo Switch 2, there was no information yet, but it is possible that the game will also be released on it.
