Xiaomi dramatically increased smartphone shipments - average price barely increased

Xiaomi published financial reports for the second quarter and the first half of 2021. The company paid special attention to smartphones.

What is known?

Xiaomi shipped 52.9 million smartphones in the second quarter, an 86.8% increase over the identical period in 2020. Only 28.3 million smart phones were shipped then.

The weighted average cost was virtually unchanged, increasing by less than half a RMB (~$0.06). Yes, six cents turns into $3.174 million with 52.9 million models shipped, but on the scale of total shipments, it's still the same 0.0358%.
