It's a success: Xiaomi has become the market leader in smartphones in 22 countries

Xiaomi published financial reports and rushed to boast of record profits. It seems to have skillfully benefited from sanctions imposed on Huawei, so Samsung, Apple and other competitors should definitely be wary of a serious rival.

So, in the second quarter, Xiaomi led the smartphone markets in 22 countries, including Italy and France. What's more, company officials proudly reported that they managed to maintain their top spot in Spain for the sixth consecutive quarter. According to Canalys, Xiaomi in the second quarter ranked in the top five in  65 markets worldwide.

Recall, in China Xiaomi ranked only third, behind Vivo and OPPO in the first two steps.

In total between April and June 2021, Xiaomi shipped 52.6 million smartphones, up 86.8% from the second quarter of 2020. The result is a 16.7% share of the global smartphone market, making the company the second largest manufacturer in the world  - behind Samsung and ahead of Apple.

In addition, the number of MIUI users has already reached 450 million, and revenue from sales of "smart device" home has grown by 35.9% in year. There are now 374 million IoT devices connected to Xiaomi's platform.
