It has been repeatedly reported online that Xiaomi will be the first to release a smartphone with a 200 MP camera. This has now been confirmed by a popular Chinese insider.

What is known

Digital Chat Station reported it on his Weibo station. The device will feature a dual camera with 200 MP and 50 MP sensors. The first sensor will be the primary and the second will be an auxiliary (shirik?). Naturally we are talking about sensor ISOCELL HP1. Samsung showed it off last week. Recall, it has pixels measuring 0.64 microns. The sensor supports ChameleonCell technology, which is responsible for improving material quality when light is scarce. When 16 pixels are combined, the size increases to 2.56 µm. The sensor can also take pictures in dusk and darkness with a resolution of 12.5 MP.

What will be the name of the new device insider did not say. We can only assume that it will be one of the Xiaomi 12 smartphones. The novelty should be shown at the end of the year. By the way, despite the transition to 200-megapixel sensors, Xiaomi will continue to use sensors at 108 MP + 64 MP in its low-cost devices.
