Xiaomi gaming smartphone crashed after MIUI 12.5 update
Xiaomi produces gamer smartphones under the Black Shark brand. They also run on MIUI firmware, albeit slightly modified. Another update broke the gaming phone of the last generation.
What happened?
Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro started experiencing problems after installing MIUI 12.5 software dated August 27, but users only started reporting it this week. The firmware is based on the Android 11 operating system.
After the shell update, UI slowdowns and autonomy issues began to be observed. One Black Shark 3 Pro owner notes that from 100% battery drains to zero in 2 hours of playing Pokemon Go. Before the software update, it was possible to play for more than 5 hours.
Another issue is slow charging. The 5000mAh battery used to charge fully in about half an hour. Now it takes almost an hour to do so using a 65W power adapter. Furthermore, after each reboot up to 5% of the battery charge is lost.
Resetting to factory settings doesn't help solve the problem. Xiaomi hasn't given any response yet.
