Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro: Snapdragon 865, 65W charging, sliding buttons and price from $ 500

Today Xiaomi sub-brand - Black Shark - introduced a new family of game smartphones. These are two models: Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro, which are similar in appearance and "stuffing", but still have differences.

What is in common

Both smartphones have AMOLED displays with 90 Hz update frequency and 270 Hz touch reading. According to the manufacturer, the delay for one finger is only 24 ms, and for several - 28 ms. Also, the screen is able to recognize press force.

Both versions have Snapdragon processor 865 with 5G support, type LPDDR5 operational memory, UFS 3.0 and Wi-Fi 6 standard storage.

The manufacturer assures that new improved cooling system is responsible for temperature, which provides 100% more efficient cooling compared with the previous generation. It is also possible to purchase an additional cooler that can lower the temperature 14 degrees for only 1 minute. It costs about $ 25.

The main camera is triple: 64 Mn main sensor, 13 Mn wide-angle lens with a 120º viewing angle and 5 Mn depth sensor. The front camera is 20 megapixel.

You can also note Bluetooth 5, NFC, USB Type-C and 3.5 mm plugs, and operating system Android 10 with brand shell.

What is the difference

Size, first of all: Black Shark 3 has a 6,67-inch display with resolution 2340 × 1080, Black Shark 3 Pro has a display with 7.1 inches diagonal and 3120 × 1440 resolution.

Capacity of battery also differs: 4720 mAh for regular version and 5000 mAh battery for the Pro version. Both have support of 65 watts fast charging and magnetic 18W charging on the rear panel in order to make it convenient to charge your smartphone during games.

Black Shark 3 Pro is the first one on the market with retractable manual buttons on the right side. They work based on the principle of sliding selfie camera and act as triggers as on a traditional gamepad. 300,000 activations, one million clicks, and automatic hide when fallen are expected.

Also, the older version has stereo speakers with certified Hi-Res, advanced horizontal-linear vibro motors for enhanced tactile feedback and the possibility to control games with voice commands (but only in some cases).
