With each year smartphone manufacturers are actively increasing the speed of fast charging, and if previously an excellent indicator was 30W, now the norm is 50-65W. There are also some models on the market whose charging speed has reached 120W, including the recently released Redmi Note 11 Pro+. It can fully charge a 4500 mAh battery in less than 20 minutes. But soon, it looks like it will take even less time, as a smartphone with 150-watt charging is being prepared for release.

What does this mean?

This was reported by Chinese insider Digital Chat Station. He hinted that a 150W charging solution is on the way, and the device is already being prepared for mass production. Admittedly, which model it is or at least which company - the insider did not specify.

We not surprised if it will be Xiaomi, which seeks leadership in everything. Especially since the company recently unveiled its HyperCharge ultra-fast charging technology, which includes wired charging at 200W and wireless at 120W.

Recall, also in 2022 should debut ORRO, OnePlus and Realme smartphones with 125W charging support.
