Illegal crypto farm exposed in Dnipropetrovsk region - mining equipment for UAH 4,000,000 was seized

After illegal crypto farm near Kiev Ukrainian law enforcement officers discovered "Black" farm in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

What is known

During the search, police officers found mining rigs with graphics accelerators and motherboards, laptops, hard drives and flash drives, as well as routers and power supplies. The total cost of the equipment was UAH 4,000,000.

One of the closed communal enterprises in the village of Pokrovskoye was converted into a farm. As is often the case, the equipment was connected to the local power grid. At the same time, the amount of damage has not yet been established.

In the course of the investigation, it was established that the access of ordinary citizens to the premises was limited. In the actions of intruders, signs of a criminal offense are seen, according to Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (misappropriation, waste of property or taking possession of it through abuse of office). The maximum punishment envisaged is up to three years in prison.
